Plot Synopsis
Based on the book ''The Glass Cockpit'' by Robert T. Davis. A maverick pilot, flying a new high-tech jumbo jet, finds his plane and its 217 passengers in peril when it is struck by a small prop plane. The damaged tail section prevents the plane from leveling off--it can only ascend. He must use his gut instincts to correct the plane's flight path before it reaches an altitude at which the air pressure would cause the aircraft to disintegrate. With help from the ground crew, he successfully lands the plane.
