Plot Synopsis
A wealthy Southern family on a Virginia Plantation is caught up in the drama's of the marriage of their rugged older son to a saucy, working class Irish lass; the father's affair with an understanding slave and the youngest son's involvement with the Confederacy. But soon the family is forever changed as the Civil War wreaks havoc on their insulated, privileged lives.
