Plot Synopsis
Struggling against the Cuban government's attempts to suppress his art, jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, tries to provide his family with the best life possible under the oppressive Castro regime. But in 1990, when he is no longer able to perform the music he loves, he and his wife, a government worker, devise a desperate plan to defect with the help of music legend Dizzy Gillespie.
