Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Mitch Albom. A middle-aged, alcoholic, former baseball player whose family and work life have disintegrated, decides to take his own life. He drives to his old hometown and finds his childhood home seemingly abandoned. Despondent, he is determined to commit suicide, but at the last moment he is given one more day to spend with his late mother. By the end of this magical day, he discovers how little he really knew about his mother, the secret of how her love saved their family, and how deeply he wants the second chance to save his own.
