Plot Synopsis

Based on the novels by Suzi Weinert and the eleventh installment in the "Garage Sale Mystery" TV movie franchise. Garage sale shopper extraordinaire Jennifer Shannon and her business partner Dani are always on the hunt for amazing finds. They discover an old tape recorder at a garage sale and Jennifer grabs it, knowing there's a tidy profit to be made. However, when one of the tapes that come with the machine is played back, she suspects that what they hear might just be a recording of an actual murder. Never one to let a hunch go unchecked, amateur sleuth Jennifer soon discovers the body of the recorder's former owner, a local doctor who had recently ceased leading a therapy group. Having alerted Detective Lynwood she makes some inquiries at the community center where the therapy group met and soon discovers that any one of his patients may have resented his departure. Returning to the house where she purchased the recorder from the doctor's wife, Jennifer learns that life between them was not always rosy, casting suspicion on the woman eager to sell off the her husbands belongings. Investigating each suspect Jennifer begins eliminating possible killers and inches closer to the truth. However, she finds herself too close to the investigation for her own safety when one of her prime suspects leaves her sight for just moments and is killed and another menacingly shows up on her doorstep.
