Plot Synopsis
The story of Gia Carrangi's dramatic climb to fame in 1970's New York as one of the fashion industry's top international supermodels. As the insecure young women becomes a cover-girl phenom she becomes addicted to pills, coke and heroin. Her struggles with drugs eventually leads to her becoming infected with the AIDS virus which ultimately claims her life in 1986 at the age of 26.
