Plot Synopsis
A lonely British bureaucrat meets an enigmatic woman in a cafe. He soon invites her on a weekend trip to Reykjavik, where he'll be working the G8 conference. His team's hope is to push an agenda that will decrease world poverty. As she learns more she becomes increasingly outspoken, challenging his boss, and even the English Prime Minister to do more to save dying mothers and children. As he falls in love with her he finds his job in jeopardy- the one thing he ever cared about. While the romance reaches a bittersweet ending, her courage ends up changing his staid life - and perhaps even influences the politicians who wield the power to save millions of lives.
