Plot Synopsis

Beautiful enchantress Cassie Nightingale moves into the long-haunted Grey House and soon captivates the town, including the widowed police chief, Jake Russell. She seems to have a "magic" touch with all she comes in contact but many of her skeptical neighbors don't approve of her unique ways, especially after she opens a "new-age" shop that carries Celtic, metaphysical and Wiccan items. When the uppity mayor's wife mounts a campaign to drive her out of town the chief refuses to yield to political pressure - and while standing up to the woman, he finally professes his love for Cassie. In that moment, Cassie knows she has found a home with Jake and his family.

Hallmark Channel has upgraded ongoing movie franchise THE GOOD WITCH to regularly scheduled series status, with an order for 10 one-hour episodes slated to begin in first quarter 2015. Headlined by Catherine Bell, THE GOOD WITCH is based on Bell's beloved character Cassie Nightingale, who has been the subject of six made-for television movies to-date (with a seventh film schedulee to air on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel).
