Plot Synopsis
Remake of 1954 film. Based on th play by Harold Brighouse. In 1914 New Orleans a head strong woman defies her tyrannical bootmaker father and romantically pursues one of his brow-beaten workers. She eventually turns her Milquetoast husband into a confident and successful businessman, all to her father's chagrin.
