Plot Synopsis

An Episcopal priest begins to question his faith, resulting in uninspired sermons and a dwindling congregation. His wife and rebellious teenage son only add to his pressures. While moonlighting as a volunteer fireman he rescues a little boy. He is hailed as a hero, while others venerate him as miracle man. The life-altering experience changes his values and reawakens a new purpose in his work.
