Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel by Cynthia Voigt. When their mother abandons them in a strange city far from home, a 13 year old girl and her three younger siblings are forced to begin a long and difficult journey in search of their mother and a home. They embark on a 500 mile trek that ultimately leads them to the cantankerous grandmother they never knew. Knowing the old lady has no interest in them, the children soon melt her heart and find a new home for themselves.
