Plot Synopsis
General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces wrestles with the burden of leadership as he prepares for the Normandy invasion on June 6, 1944. He must deal with his contentious British counterpart, Gen. Montgomery, as well as maverick General George Patton and imperious French Gen. de Gaulle. Knowing that casualties will be high he must make the hard decisions in order to free Europe from Nazi rule.
