Plot Synopsis
Based on the 1989 novel by A.M. Homes. A fifteen-year-old boy must not only struggle with puberty and adolescent angst but with the realization that his parents are getting divorced because his father is gay. He slowly comes to terms with his father's new relationship even though there are nasty rumors and antigay graffiti at his school. After a series of events he finally understands there is no such thing as a perfect family and his own is more caring and supportive than he knew.
