Plot Synopsis

In Seaside Heights, New Jersey a construction crew drilling underwater to place supports for a new exclusive waterfront country club is unaware they hit a cavern releasing dozens of albino bull sharks into the water. During the Fourth of July weekend, a friend of the police chief's son, TC, goes missing in the water. TC starts to suspect that something else happened; so he and his friends go out to the breakwater and learn that sharks have, in fact, invaded the Jersey Shore. TC pleads with his father to close the beach, but he can't -- not without proper authority. When a couple of local fishermen catch a shark the next day, the mayor believes that the threat is over and, despite urging from the Chief, decides to reopen the beaches. Now, with the Fourth of July in full swing and the Jersey Shore more crowded than ever, the sharks attack en masse. The Chief tries to get people off the beach and pier with the help of TC and his friends, trying to pull as many people to safety as possible. They must all work together as they race against time to find a way to stop the rampage and make the Jersey Shore safe again.
