Plot Synopsis
In 1960 Nevada, a 12-year-old boy and son of the town doctor gets his first summer job at a local bar. He soon befriends the town's mechanic and only African American along with the feisty bar owner, the cryptic Native American bartender and the flouncey barmaid. From each friendship he learns valuable life lessons and when a Hollywood movie comes to town on location everybody gets to live out their dreams.
