Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Michael de Guzman. Before going off to college a teenage girl decides to spend the summer with her estranged father, a man she hasn't seen since she was five-years-old. After arriving in the small Arizona desert town she finds her unsociable handyman dad living in a trailer and showing little interest in fostering a paternal relationship or becoming emotionally entangled. But, during the course of her turbulent visit they slowly begin to heal the pain of the past and learn to love an respect each other.
