Plot Synopsis
During WWl in France, Major Whitsley, an American officer, leads 500 men in a desperate battle to hold their ground when they are trapped behind enemy lines in the Argonne forest. During the five day siege they are not only surrounded by German soldiers but are mistakenly shelled by American artillery. Less then 200 brave men emerged from the bloody battle. Whitsley was later awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
