Plot Synopsis
In 1944, a young unwed pregnant woman from a prominent east coast family is forced into a marriage of convenience with a lonely Colorado farmer who agrees to raise her child as his own. Although she feels uncomfortable in the rural community she falls in love with her painfully shy new husband and soon becomes involved helping an interned Japanese-American and a German POW.
