Plot Synopsis

Prim and proper Hannah Higgins is a smart, driven Boston consultant who runs for Congress on an education reform platform. Voters reject her aloof demeanor, and she goes down in defeat. Undeterred, she and her business partner, Collen, mastermind a plan for the next election. They recruit an "everyman," a beer vendor named Elliot Doolitte, who speaks with a thick South Boston accent, has an unruly beard, and dresses like a slob. Appearance just isn't important to him. Hannah takes him on as a "project" and begins to transform him into her idea of a gentleman. She sees potential in Elliot, and, thanks to her, he sees potential in himself. As he becomes more presentable, she finds herself transforming too and soon begins to have feeling for her "new" man. As the sparks fly, together they just might be a winning ticket.
