Plot Synopsis
Based on the book ''Stories of Karol: The Unknown Life of John Paul II''. Karol Wojtyla saw a world of pain and heartache during his years growing up in Poland. The young artist and athlete who became a priest fought Communism, Nazism, atheism and capitalism with his stinging sermons. The young bishop ratcheted up the drumbeat for Polish liberty until Poland rose up to overthrow 40 years of totalitarian rule. On October 16, 1978, Cardinal Karol Wojtyla became Pope John Paul II and during his 26 years of service he worked tirelessly work for reconciliation, peace and forgiveness.
