Plot Synopsis
Chronicles the pivotal events that occurred in the final years of South African civil rights leader Nelson Mandela's imprisonment to his inauguration as the celebrated leader of his country. In 1990, President F.W. de Klerk stood before Parliament and announced the end of apartheid-- the behind the scenes meetings and the negotiation process that resulted in the birth of a new democratic nation in South Africa.
