Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Marc Gunther and Bill Carter. A behind-the-scenes look at the 1970 launch and impact of Monday Night Football on ABC and its colorful and controversial sportscasting team, including the conflicts that unfolded between Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford and Don Meredith. What had formerly been just a football game was elevated to the level of a national event as executive producer, Roone Arledge used innovative techniques to capture not only the action but also the drama of the game.
