Plot Synopsis

In the aftermath of the Columbine High School shootings, small town high school student Brandi Blackbear is suspended from school because authorities interpret her behavior and fictional writing in ancient Witchcraft traditions as a threat. When a teacher suddenly becomes sick, students and faculty alike believe she is casting spells. With support from her mother and the backing by the ACLU, Brandi takes the school to court for violating her civil rights and to ensure other kids aren't persecuted for daring to be different.
