Plot Synopsis

When Heather Krueger receives a serious medical diagnosis before the holidays, she and her family begin the urgent search for a donor for her life-saving liver transplant. Heather faces incredible odds against finding a match but tries to enjoy her family's annual holiday traditions as they wait for a miracle. When Chris Dempsey hears about her story, he selflessly gets tested and discovers he is a match. After talking through his decision with his mother, Judy, he volunteers to donate half of his liver to give Heather a new lease on life, despite being a complete stranger. As Heather and Chris get to know one another and each others' families before and after the transplant, they form a deep connection and begin to wonder if the closeness they feel goes beyond the special connection between organ donor and recipient. While they will always be in each others' lives, the two must decide if Chris' selfless act was actually the beginning of a beautiful true love story.
