Plot Synopsis
Based on the book ''I was a Doctor in Auschwitz'' by Dr. Gisella Perl. In post WWII Manhattan, Jewish doctor and Holocaust survivor, Gisella Perl tries to obtain an American medical license and open her gynecology practice. She is brought before an INS Board composed of three agents who want to determine if she was a Nazi sympathizer. To prove she did not collaborate with her captors, she painfully recounts the horrors she experienced as a prisoner in Auschwitz.
