Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Barbara Branden. In 1949, Novelist Ayn Rand receives a letter from a young UCLA psychology student, Nathaniel Branden, requesting an opportunity to discuss her philosophy. Rand and her husband, invite Branden and his wife, Barbara, to their L.A. home. What begins as a discussion of ideas turns into a 15-year unconventional love affair between Rand and her much younger protege--an affair to which their reticent respective spouses were compelled to grant permission.
