Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Melissa de la Cruz. Financial advisor Darcy Fitzwilliam returns home from the city for the holidays, only to be thrown into a whirlwind of charity event planning and a comedy of errors with her high school nemesis, Luke Bennett. Darcy and Luke help Darcy's mother, Gloria plan her Christmas charity gala, and in doing so, begin to realize they both may be incorrect about the hasty judgments they had made on one another in high school. As they spend more time together, Darcy feels a connection with Luke that makes her doubt that either her job in the city or her one-time boyfriend, Carl brings her as much happiness as Luke does. As Christmas approaches and her time at home nears its end, she must decide if she will step back into her life in the city, or if Luke may actually be the key to her future happiness. On the night of the gala, there is a mix-up that leads to no catering staff. With some quick thinking, Darcy and Luke recruit help from their friends and family, along with the kids who belong to the local community center that the gala is raising funds for. Darcy and Luke are a great team who always make the best out of any situation thrown at them, and only have eyes for one another all night. However, Carl makes one last effort to win her back, throwing a wrench in her budding relationship with Luke. Juggling two potential suitors and two career path options, Darcy must decide where she wants to spend her future...and with whom.
