Plot Synopsis

Based on the short story by Ken Kalfus. In post Soviet Russia, a devoted father and husband ,who labors at a deteriorating nuclear plant, is exposed to a deadly dose of radiation while trying to avert a plant disaster. With just days to live and desperate to provide for his family, he impulsively steals a small amount of weapons grade plutonium - Pu-239 and heads to Moscow to sell it on the dangerous black market. He joins up with a young thug and the unlikely duo form an awkward friendship, bonded by a love for family and a willingness to sacrifice everything for them.
