Plot Synopsis

When a her adoptive mother dies, a prominent book editor finds out where she was born while searching to find her natural parents. When sent to that town on an assignment to sign a once famous author, now a brooding recluse, she begins to unearth the truth about her past as she wins the heart and help of the enigmatic novelist. She learns that she was the illegitimate daughter of a young woman who was killed after jumping from a cliff.
