Plot Synopsis
A sheltered 13-year-old girl returns to her native Hawaii for the first time since she was little to claim an inheritance consisting of a faded plantations set on several acres of prime beachfront property. While deciding whether to sell to developers or get her father and step-mother to relocate from Chicago she befriends some local kids who teach her to surf. She slowly begins to fall in love with the island paradise that is her legacy.
