Plot Synopsis
The rise of the legendary boxer who never lost a pro fight and retired from the ring in 1956. The son of an immigrant laborer he is determined to escape his father's fate. He enters an amateur boxing match and launches his career. With perseverance and raw power he soon becomes a contender. In 1951, he is forced to fight a bankrupt and aging Joe Louis, his idol, in order to be seen as the number one heavyweight champ. Marciano died in a 1969 plane crash.
