Plot Synopsis

Remake of the 1943 film. In 1942 North Africa, an American sergeant and his two men are assigned to a tank division with the British Army. When the Germans attack their position, the GI's tank is forced to retreat south into the hellish Sahara Desert. Along the way he picks up a group of displaced soldiers from various outfits as they search for water in the burning sands. When a confronted by a German battalion the allied unit, outnumbered 100 to one, hold the enemy at bay until reinforcements arrive.
