Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel by Patricia MacLachlan. Sequel to the 1991 & 1993 TV movies. In 1918 Kansas, hard working farmers, Jacob and Sarah Witting, must deal with the return of Jacob's long lost father who abandoned the family farm 30 years ago. The taciturn old man wants to make peace with his son before he dies. Matters are complicated by family illness and a treacherous blizzard. But they all pull together and confront long held resentments.
