Plot Synopsis

A young girl living in a small town in Nova Scotia dreams of swimming the English Channel. She soon meets a strange elderly couple whom she is convinced are not human. They eat algae, drink seaweed tea and sleep in giant salt water tanks. As their friendship deepens, they eventually reveal their mysterious and magical relationship to the sea. When the old man becomes ill, she embarks on a quest to save him.
