Plot Synopsis

When an unidentified object, at first thought to be an asteroid, is shot down over the waters of Puget Sound, a military excavation team is sent in to retrieve it. Moments later, a dark cloud spreads through the water and empty wetsuits rise up, floating ominously on the surface -- leaving no trace of the people behind. As Seattle officials inspect the debris, the sky grows turbulent, seemingly instigated by the smoke coming off the wreckage. Army Major Emma Peterson is handed the task of identifying the threat and securing the city. Her fiance, scientist Tom Reynolds, joins her in the task, leaving their two teenage kids on their own. As the storms intensify the kids find themselves in the path of destruction. Now the family must find each other in the midst of the gathering storms, and work together to put a stop to the deadly tornadoes and explosive lighting strikes. Together, they race against time to find the solution before the violent weather destroys the planet.
