Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel ''The Other Anna'' by Barbara Esstman. In 1910 Iowa, a domineering and deceitful housewife and her passive doctor husband harbor the secret that they are unable to have children. Their thirteen year old daughter uncovers the truth of her own adoption when her parents buy the illegitimate baby of their housemaid and then banish the poor working girl from the premises.
