Plot Synopsis

Insired by Norman Rockwell's 1950 painting. Years ago small town barber Charlie Shuffleton played a pivotal role in the young life of Trey Cole, teaching him life lessons and the importance of family. Now a famous country singer, Trey comes back to visit the Georgia town he left as a young man. It holds too many painful memories, including his brother's death while serving in the military, but he returns to reconcile his past and reconnect with his roots after losing himself along the way. He soon discovers you can only run away for so long from reality, until the need to do the right thing intervenes. He discovers that Charlie has recently died, inspiring him to bridge the gap he created with his estranged father, a man who was never around to guide him during his childhood. But in order to become a better man, he needs to rise above his past resentments and make himself emotionally available to his grudge-bearing sister-in-law Norma as well as his younger sister Kat. Ultimately, he honors Charlie's memory by healing old wounds and reconnecting with his family.
