Plot Synopsis

Based on a Texas Monthly article by Pamela Colloff. In 1963 a church in Birmingham Alabama was bombed, killing four young black girls. Bobby Frank Cherry was suspected along with three other KKK members but the FBI could find no concrete proof. Years later, Cherry's emotionally ragged son Tom, returns home after a failed marriage, and faces a long and difficult struggle to break the cycle of hatred and racism within his family. He eventually confronts his past memories and testifies before a grand jury implicating his father in the unsolved crime.
