Plot Synopsis

A hole in the earth's protective ozone layer is rapidly moving toward Los Angeles which is in the grips of a dire heat wave that is literally frying human and animal life. A young renegade scientist, along with his sister, a top mayoral aide, a burned-out TV reporter and a few loyal colleagues race against time and skeptical bureaucrats to save the city. They must get national officials to allow them to launch the experimental Ozone Replenishing Bomb.
