Plot Synopsis
Remake of the Rogers & Hammerstein Pulizer Prize and Tony Award winning play. Based on James Micherner's 1949 ''Tales of the South Pacific''. On a remote island during WWll a Navy nurse falls in love with a French plantation owner while a young American Marine, whose secret mission on the island could help change the course of the war, falls in love with a native girl. Both romances face daunting obstacles as both lovers are torn apart by racial prejudice and the dangers of war.
