Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Laurie Halse Anderson. A smart vivacious high school freshman is stunned into silence when she is date raped by an upperclassman at a summer party. Unable to confide in her preoccupied parents and a social outcast to her peers, she finds solace from her free-spirited art teacher. Over the course of the school years, she gradually learns that expressing herself is the only way to confront her pain.
