Plot Synopsis
Two classic stories from the annals of sports. 1.''How Doc Waddems Finally Broke 100'' is based on the short story by Don Marquis. A tale of a man on trial for the murder of his rival golf partner-- a rule-quoting, by the book nitpicker. 2. ''The Heidi Bowl'' how a trio of fictitious people-- a switchboard operator, a TV network technician and a sports bookie are effected by the events of the infamous 1968 Jets/Raiders football game that was prematurely cut off the TV by the airing of the children's telefilm ''Heidi,'' causing hysteria among angry sports fans.
