Plot Synopsis
In 1878 Santa Fe, New Mexico, a terminally ill nun wants to see her beautiful new Sisters of Loretto Chapel completed before she dies. She is devastated when she learns the builders forgot to allow for a staircase leading to the choir loft. After days of prayer, a mysterious carpenter appears and offers to build it. Constructed without nails or center support the 22 ft. circular staircase is considered an architectural wonder.
