Plot Synopsis

When a tornado appears in the waters south of Boston, former storm chaser Joe Randall is intrigued by the unusual weather. But as twisters begin to strike across the Boston shoreline, he quickly realizes this is no ordinary event. As the storms threaten to move inland, the citizens of Boston find themselves trapped in a tempest turning deadlier by the minute. Now, with the city under siege, Joe, his sister Maddy, and his old storm-chasing partner Lee realize they're dealing with a never-before-seen phenomenon known as Stonado, violent tornadoes that throw exploding, gaseous boulders. The only chance of stopping the siege is an untested tornado neutralization theory that Joe has been working on for over a decade. Using his untried defense system, Joe and his crew race against time to save not only the city -- but possibly the world -- from complete destruction.
