Plot Synopsis

In a rural town in Texas a single woman with a baby finds a mysterious man in her house claiming she stole his infant son. Denying she knows anything about the situation he still refuses to leave. She finally admits to kidnapping the crack addicted child after his birth mother died of a drug overdose, afraid he wouldn't survive in the over-burdened hospital where she was a nurse. Resolved to bring her back to Detroit to face charges, he realizes that he is guilty of abandoning his wife and that his child has been well cared for by this misguided but sympathetic woman.
