Plot Synopsis

Teen surfers, McKenize and her boyfriend Brady, spend their summer vacation riding the waves and watching their all-time favorite retro surf musical movie, "Wet Side Story." On the morning of McKenzie's planned departure for boarding school, she and Brady catch one last epic wave, which mysteriously carries them right into "Wet Side Story," circa 1962, where they meet their new friends -- Seacat, Giggles, Rascal, Lugnut, Struts, Butchy, Cheechee, Tanner and Lela. It's surfers versus bikers for control of the beach hangout and everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. Now Brady and McKenzie must try to return to present day, but their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently alter the movie's romantic storyline, as the handsome leading man, surfer Tanner, is falling for McKenzie, while biker girl Lela is swooning for Brady. If they can't get everyone to stick to the original plot, they just might be stuck in an endless summer. NOTE: Walt Disney Records released the "Teen Beach Movie" soundtrack on iTunes and in stores nationwide on July 16, 2013, featuring 12 songs and three instructional bonus tracks. Plus, the DVD with exclusive dance rehearsal footage and musical number was released on July 30, 2013.

On Sunday, April 27, 2014 Disney Channel announced that it will begin production in July on TEEN BEACH MOVIE 2, the sequel to last summer's TEEN BEACH MOVIE, in which Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchel, Grace Phipps, Garrett Clayton and John DeLuca will reprise their starring roles. TEEN BEACH MOVIE 2, which will premiere in 2015 on Disney Channel, is set months after surfer sweethearts McKenzie and Brady return from a summer adventure that transported them into Brady's favorite 1960s beach party movie, Wet Side Story, only to receive a surprise real-world visit from Lela, Tanner, Butchy and their other newfound surfer and biker buddies.
