Plot Synopsis
In 1953, the men aboard the U.S.S. Point Cruz, from the captain down to the lowest seaman, break every rule in order to save the life of an Amerasian infant who was left at the doorstep of a U.S. Army supply depot. Knowing the mixed race baby will not survive in Korea, the men sneak him aboard the ship, take turns playing nursemaid and try to find a way to get him to America. The ship's doctor eventually resigns his naval commission in order for him and his wife to adopt the orphaned tyke.
