Plot Synopsis

Dr. Gerry Klooster, diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease asks his wife to help him commit suicide when his illness progresses and renders him incompetent. Lacking the strength to acknowledge her husband's request by herself, she informs her children of their father's wishes. Their youngest son, believing his mother will carry out the plan, kidnaps his father and sues for custody. After months of legal wrangling, a California judge finally rules that Gerry may return to live with his wife.
