Plot Synopsis

Seattle Psychologist Dr. Kate Kovic, known for her work in cases of clinical insanity, is asked to make a final ruling on whether a convicted cop killer and death row imate, Christine Solter, is in fact suffering from severe multiple personality disorder. Her diagnosis could save Christine from execution by lethal injection scheduled to take place in seven days. Drawn to accept the case after hearing a tape recording of her innocent child-like voice, Kate is shocked when she comes face-to-face with a very aggressive young woman with a shaved head and jailhouse tattoos. At first she thinks Christine may be faking her disorder to avoid execution, but after digging deeper into her psyche she becomes convinced that each of Christine's personalities are in fact manifestations of the victims of another unsolved crime, where a group of missing teens were discovered in a shallow grave. With Christine's execution fast approaching, Kate desperately seeks to uncover the answer to the mystery that will ultimately connect three unsolved violent murders to one psychotic killer, known as The Toyman Killer, who is still out there, and who's identity is known only to one imprisoned girl with only days to live.
