Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Jules Verne. Remake of 1954 feature film. In 1868, a world-famous New York marine biologist is recruited to identify a long, back creature that has been attacking seagoing vessels. He is soon captured by a hi-tech submarine invented by the megalomaniacal, vindictive Captain Nemo, who aims to take over the world by slamming ships. As he prowls the ocean his empire is eventually swallowed by a huge sea monster.
